Local Authorities
Our Company has recognised the special needs of Local Authorities in developing Travel Plans as part of their wider remit and responsibility on transport, highways and infrastructure, in terms of:
- Improving access to opportunity, and social inclusion
- Reducing traffic congestion and pollution, as part of an integrated Transport Strategy
- Raising awareness and promoting Travel Planning
- Developing processes and initiatives to deal with the above
Similarly, the Company understands Travel Plan Officers need particular support to deal with:
- An increasing number of Travel Plans, and to reach the critical mass required to make a difference
- More demanding targets and reporting requirements, as part of Local Transport Plans
